Renting the Fujikura Fusion Splicer Kit
A fusion splicer is what you rent when fibre has to be repaired, extended or terminated properly rather than patched. Core-alignment fusion holds typical splice loss below 0.02 dB, so a repaired run stays inside the loss budget the design allowed. A mechanical connector in the same position typically costs an order of magnitude more loss and becomes the next fault.
The kit ships as a complete carry case: splicer, cleaver, spare electrodes, heat-shrink oven and AC adapter. Splice time is around nine seconds with a further thirty-five for sleeve heating, and the battery carries more than 200 splices per charge, which covers a full day on a site with no power.
Cleave quality is the usual limit on splice quality. The cleaver in the kit is matched to the splicer, and we check both before dispatch, because a worn cleaver blade produces high-loss splices that look like a machine fault.

What is the minimum rental period?
One day, and this item is quoted on a day rate. For longer commissioning or handover phases, contact us and we will price the full period against your project rather than billing day by day. Rates shown are indicative, per unit and exclude VAT.
How quickly can this be delivered?
Plan on one to two days between confirmed order and delivery across the UAE. That window is the pre-delivery configuration work: imaging, enrolment and lockdown are completed before dispatch rather than at your site. Larger quantities or upcountry locations may need longer, so share your dates early.
Is technical support included during the rental period?
Yes. Setup and ongoing technical support are included for all rental equipment, with replacement options available in case of a fault. A dedicated on-site engineer for the duration of an event is available and quoted separately.
