Cloud Services in Dubai

Cloud migration, Microsoft 365 and backup for Dubai finance, trade and hospitality, NESA-aware, UAE data residency, engineers come to you.

Overview

Cloud services in Dubai cover a commercial base that spans financial services, trade and logistics, hospitality, real estate and the free-zone enterprise ecosystem. The common requirement is cloud reliability, data protection and business continuity, with UAE data residency increasingly part of the conversation for regulated sectors and data-sensitive businesses operating in the emirate.

IP Care is headquartered on Salam Street in Abu Dhabi. For Dubai clients, our engineers come to you, on-site when the work needs it, without subcontracting or a remote-only call-centre model. The engagement model is the same as any Abu Dhabi engagement: scoped, deliverable-based and staffed by engineers who have been working inside UAE enterprise environments since 2003.

This page covers cloud services we deliver to clients in Dubai specifically. For the broader UAE-wide view, our main cloud services page covers the full scope.

— What Dubai-based clients typically need from cloud —

Three categories of cloud engagement come up most consistently.

Cloud migration. Dubai commercial organisations typically arrive with a mixed on-premise, SaaS and ad-hoc cloud estate that needs to consolidate into a coherent cloud operating model. The engagement starts with a workload assessment, inventory, dependency mapping, classification, followed by a landing zone that enforces identity federation, security baseline, network topology and UAE data residency where required. Workloads migrate in defined waves with parallel validation and tested rollback at each cutover. We deliver migration across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud depending on the workload profile and existing vendor relationships.

Microsoft 365. Most Dubai SME and mid-market organisations run Exchange Online and the Microsoft 365 collaboration stack with default security configurations that were never hardened. MFA is not enforced, Conditional Access is not configured, and there is no third-party backup in place. We migrate, harden and manage the full Microsoft 365 estate: Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Defender for Microsoft 365 and the backup layer that Microsoft 365 does not provide natively.

Backup and disaster recovery. Dubai businesses with UAE PDPL obligations or sector data-sensitivity requirements need backup infrastructure that keeps every copy inside the UAE. We deploy backup across the on-premise estate, add Microsoft 365 backup, design immutable storage to protect against ransomware, and provision UAE-hosted disaster recovery with defined recovery time objectives. Restore tests are scheduled and results documented.

— NESA-aware and UAE PDPL —

NESA and UAE PDPL apply to a meaningful proportion of Dubai-based businesses, particularly in financial services, professional services and data-intensive sectors. We integrate applicable controls into the cloud architecture from the assessment phase, identity and access management, audit logging, data classification, DLP, encryption at rest and in transit, and network segmentation. UAE PDPL data-subject requirements are mapped at the assessment stage and reflected in the landing zone policy.

— Why Dubai-based clients engage us for cloud —

Four reasons come up consistently. Engineers come to you, IP Care is headquartered in Abu Dhabi and our engineers travel to Dubai client sites for on-site work, same-day when required, without subcontracting. UAE data residency as standard practice, AWS, Microsoft Azure and UAE-hosted options are operationally familiar, residency enforced in the landing zone from day one. NESA and UAE PDPL integration across cloud engagements, not a retrofit, not a separate workstream. Cross-portfolio depth. The same team that manages your infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and backup is the team handling your cloud migration.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

Can our data stay in the UAE after migration?

Yes, and for regulated sectors and data-sensitive businesses in Dubai, it is often a requirement. AWS, Microsoft Azure and UAE-hosted private or hybrid cloud all provide UAE data residency options. We classify every workload against residency requirements at the assessment stage and configure the landing zone to enforce residency policy automatically, so the data-residency position is documented and verifiable, not assumed.

Do you come on-site to Dubai for cloud engagements?

Yes. IP Care is headquartered on Salam Street in Abu Dhabi. Our engineers travel to Dubai client sites for on-site work, migration cutovers, Microsoft 365 configuration sessions, backup assessments and any other engagement requiring physical access. We do not subcontract Dubai delivery to a third party.

Do you back up Microsoft 365?

Yes, and we recommend it on every Microsoft 365 engagement. Microsoft does not back up your data; its recycle bin and version history are retention aids, not recovery tools. We deploy third-party backup covering Exchange mailboxes, SharePoint libraries, OneDrive and Teams on every Microsoft 365 tenant we manage, with restore tests run and documented on a schedule.

What cloud platforms do you work with?

We deliver across Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. For Dubai clients with UAE data residency requirements, UAE-resident regions are available across the major cloud platforms. Platform choice is driven by your workload profile, existing vendor relationships and residency requirements, not by vendor preference.

Do you provide ongoing managed cloud services, or only project work?

Both. Project engagements, assessments, landing zones, migrations, Microsoft 365 deployments, run on fixed-scope statements of work with deliverable-based milestones. Managed cloud services, cloud operations, Microsoft 365 administration, backup monitoring and cost management, run on monthly retainer pricing with defined SLA and scope. Most clients move from a project engagement into managed services once the migration is complete.
