Is Google Workspace secure by default?

Partially. Google Workspace ships with reasonable defaults, but the controls that matter most are left for the administrator to configure. 2-Step Verification is not enforced by default, external Drive sharing is unrestricted and Context-Aware Access policies do not exist until you create them. A new tenant with default settings has open sharing and no access policies in place. Those gaps need to be closed at setup, not after the first incident.

Can you migrate us from on-prem Exchange or another provider?

Yes. We migrate from on-prem Exchange (2010 through 2019), Microsoft 365, cPanel/IMAP hosted mail, Zimbra, IBM Domino, Rediffmail and other hosted providers. The approach, cutover or staged migration, depends on your mailbox count, current platform and how much downtime you can accept. We scope the migration during the assess phase before any data moves.

Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, which should we pick?

Both platforms are mature and well-supported. Microsoft 365 dominates regulated and enterprise sectors in the UAE, particularly where Active Directory integration, Purview compliance tooling and Azure identity management are in play. Google Workspace suits collaborative, cloud-native teams where Docs, Sheets and Meet are the daily tools. We help you choose based on your existing toolchain, integration requirements and commercial situation.

Does Google Workspace back up our data?

Google does not provide a traditional backup. The Vault archival feature is a retention and eDiscovery tool, not a recovery tool. If Drive files are permanently deleted or a user account is removed, Vault may not recover everything depending on the retention policy in place. For organisations with recovery-time requirements, we integrate third-party backup covering Gmail and Drive with tested restore capability.

Which Google Workspace edition do we need?

Business Starter covers email, Meet, Drive (pooled storage) and standard Workspace apps, right for lean teams. Business Standard adds Meet recording and more storage. Business Plus adds Vault archival and advanced endpoint management. Enterprise adds advanced DLP, data regions and expanded security controls. We audit your actual usage, storage needs and compliance obligations and recommend the right edition per user group.
